Team Players

Our Paralegal Department consists of a team of paralegals, typically between 4-6, and is led by the Paralegal Administrator. Members of our paralegal department are vital, integrated parts of our litigation teams. At any given time, we have at least 50 different active matters in the firm in all stages of the litigation process.

Bredhoff & Kaiser employs a paralegal staff to assist attorneys in all of its practice areas, with an emphasis on the firm’s general litigation practice. Paralegals work closely with attorneys in all phases of litigation from case initiation to trial. Among other things, paralegals manage case-related documents and information, conduct factual research, and assist with discovery-related projects. In addition to trial court litigation, paralegals are involved in the cite-checking and preparation of briefs to support the firm’s appellate practice. The paralegal staff also supports the firm’s counseling and compliance practice by researching economic and policy issues, and by retrieving and organizing documents in the public record.

The firm occasionally has openings for both experienced and entry-level paralegals. For entry-level positions, the firm seeks candidates with advanced research and writing skills and excellent academic credentials. Bredhoff & Kaiser is committed to increasing the diversity of our staff and our attorneys—we believe that diversity, including racial diversity, reflects our values and improves the quality of our work—and we strongly encourage applications from Black and indigenous persons and people of color, from persons identifying as LBGTQ+, and from persons with disabilities.
