Douglas L. Greenfield, a longtime member of Bredhoff & Kaiser, to serve as a member of the Department of Labor’s ERISA Advisory Council
December 8, 2016
United States Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez appointed Douglas L. Greenfield, a longtime member of Bredhoff & Kaiser, to serve as a member of the Department of Labor’s ERISA Advisory Council.
The 15-member Council advises the Secretary of Labor on policies and regulations affecting employee-benefit plans governed by the Employee Retirement Incomes Security Act of 1974, known as ERISA. The Secretary selects three members of the Council to represent employee organizations. Doug—who has devoted his thirty-year career to counseling fiduciaries, administrators, sponsors, and unions with respect to a variety of employee retirement and welfare benefit plans—was selected as one of those three members. Like all members of the Council, he will serve a three-year term beginning in 2017.
