Associate

Kara A. Naseef joined the firm as an associate in 2022.
Before joining the firm, Kara clerked for the Honorable Ramon E. Reyes, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and served as a Staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, Office of Staff Counsel. She was a fellow at AARP Foundation Litigation and a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
Kara holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was awarded the Jane L. Mixer Award for contributions to activities designed to advance social justice and the Jack C. Radcliffe, Jr. Award for excellence in mentoring first-year law students. She was managing symposium editor of the Michigan Journal of Law Reform and a student attorney for the Workers’ Rights Clinic. Kara received a Master’s in Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. She received her B.A., magna cum laude and with university honors, from American University and was awarded the National Security Education Program’s Boren Scholarship to study Swahili in Tanzania.
