April 5, 2017 – The United States Women’s National Team Players Association (“WNTPA”) and the U.S. Soccer Federation ratified a landmark five-year collective bargaining agreement that will provide significant pay increases and other improvements to working conditions for Players on the World-Cup-champion United States Women’s National Team (“WNT”).  In addition to the increases to base and performance pay, the new CBA provides for continued support of WNT Player salaries in the National Women’s Soccer League, improvements to lifestyle and travel standards, WNTPA control of group likeness rights for licensing, financial support for adoptive parents, and improved financial support of pregnant Players and new mothers.  The new CBA is the result of the highest level of Player involvement in negotiations in the history of the WNTPA.  Since January 2017, Bredhoff and Kaiser attorneys served as members of the WNTPA negotiating team, and Bredhoff Member Mady Gilson served as the WNTPA’s Chief Spokesperson.
