Philip C. Andonian
Phil Andonian joined Bredhoff & Kaiser in 2011. His practice focuses on litigation on behalf of labor unions and their members at the local, state, and federal level, as well as white-collar criminal defense and grand-jury representation.
Prior to joining the firm, Phil spent six years at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. At PDS, he represented juveniles and adults charged with criminal offenses ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies, and also argued cases in front of the D.C. Court of Appeals. Before that, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert E. Morin of the D.C. Superior Court and was an associate at a small criminal-defense firm in Northern California.
Phil is also an Adjunct Professor in the Trial Advocacy Program at American University’s Washington College of Law. He teaches Criminal Trial Advocacy, Evidentiary Foundations and Objections, and Evidence, and has conducted workshops and lectures covering all aspects of litigation. He also has coached several mock-trial teams in national competitions.
Phil received his B.A. in English and Psychology from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from Santa Clara University. He is a member of the California and District of Columbia bars.
